When Glazin’ shut the doors to its Duke Street shop in September, it left a sizable hole in the heart of York’s Royal Square district.

That hole was filled Thursday when officials from Taste Test said they will soon inhabit the two properties on South Duke Street.

“We’ve been talking to a lot of people for a while (about the space) and when (Taste Test) came about, we stopped our search,” Dylan Bauer, vice president of development with Royal Square Development and Construction, said. “I think Taste Test brings a group of adventurous eaters to Royal Square over and over.”
